Rescue Training Course Hire

The Tees Barrage International White Water Centre offers an unrivalled training facility.

We have year round guaranteed water, with all day running capability now due to our 4 new Archimedes screws allowing us to run the water, whenever we want. Our new Diamond Course is the host for all of our Rescue Training. It is 95-metre long, with a 3.7-metre slope and is is fully adjustable, from the flow, to the revolutionary new Rapidbloc system, which is the same as the system that is used in the new Olympic White Water Course in London.

We can also put a vehicle in the course and offer a fully risk assessed vehicle on water courses, Click Here (opens in new window) to find out more.

All of our watersports activities take place on the River Tees, the water is fresh, clean off the Pennines however we cannot guarantee bathing quality as this is an open body of water.  There are many factors that may change the quality of water from day to day and this is not drinking water so please ensure that after using this facility or any other body of open water, that you clean your hands and shower before eating to reduce the risk of illness.

As the host centre for ZOP/ Rescue 3 Europe instructor conference, this facility has been showcased to a worldwide audience and has been stated as "the best rescue training facility in the world!"

We tailor packages to individual requirements. for information and prices on hiring the course, use of the vehicle and other facilities, please contact us on 01642 678000.

The use of the Short Course is restricted for safety to a maximum of 2 crews at any one time, with a maximum of 12 persons (including instructors) per crew.

We are a Rescue 3 Affiliated Centre, Rescue 3 (UK) in the North East, as such to use our White Water Training facility, Instructors must hold the Rescue 3  Swiftwater Rescue Technician Level One Instructor Qualification.
