Flat Water Paddle-Sport Activity Guidelines 

But to ensure your safety & the safety of our other users using our facility, there are certain guidelines that have to be met and adhered to ensure the safe usage of our facilities.

Paddle-Sport Courses & Tuition

  • Must be aged 8 years and above, and be able to swim 25 metres

Unsupervised use of the Flat Water Area

  • To be able to paddle on the Flat Water you musthave basic skills & have completed a capsize.
  • All boats must be sound and in good repair with airbags and you must wear the appropriate Safety Equipment at all times.

No intentional swimming is allowed in the Placid Water Warm-up Lake, (Unless authorized by the TBIWWC Management and undertaken by a BCU Foundation Safety & Rescue Provider)

To use the TBIWWC, all paddlers must complete and sign (or be signed by a parent/guardian if under 18) a ‘Paddler Medical Consent Form’ and a ‘Placid Water Health & Safety and Risk Declaration Form’.  These must be submitted when signing-in at Reception, they will be kept for one calender year and new forms re-submitted on an annual basis thereafter. 

To save time on the day, you can fill in the  Booking Forms online and send them to us in advance of your visit. Alternatively, you could download and complete them by hand and then give them to us on your arrival at the centre.
