Welcome to the Tees Barrage International White Water Centre (TBIWWC), found in Stockton on the banks of the River Tees.

Watersports at Tees Barrage

Our watersport facilities and white water course make great family days out. And we offer a huge range of group including: bell boating, paddlesports, raft building, powerboat trips, family rafting, white water rafting, and stand-up paddleboarding. All our watersports are available to people aged eight and over, so bring the kids or visit with your pals. Plus, we’re home to Air Trail — one of the largest climbing adventure courses of its kind in the UK!

Relaxing activities at Tees Barrage

Want something more dry and peaceful? Ride your bike or walk the dog along the stunning walking and cycling routes. On your way, refuel on the balcony of The Barrage Cafe or bring your own picnic and dine on the river bank. Make sure to take advantage of the photography opportunities by snapping local wildlife —  including seals, newts, otters, kingfishers, and salmon — or head to the nature reserve to see animals up close.

Onsite Cafe

Cook’s Café is situated inside the main watersports building on the top floor.  The café has brilliant views of the flat water lake and Air Trail and serves a range of hot and cold food, including sandwiches, snacks, hot dishes and salads as well as hot and cold drinks. There is also a selection of tasty ice creams!
